Description

Australian green tree frog on a tap. This creature often lives in and by human habitations, drawn to water sources at time of drought.

An attractive little frog it was misnamed caerulea ( blue frog ). The first specimens to arrive in Britain had suffered damage in preservation that had removed the yellow translucent layer of skin that covers the blue and would produce, normally a green coloured frog. Colour is variable. Also known as the Dumpy Tree Frog, some are more dumpy than others.
