A professional photographer since 1973, Martyn sells mainly to science publishers but has a library of pictures covering many subjects. France is of particular interest since photographing there for a number of language books. He has run his own audio visual company in Iceland and been commissioned by Readers Digest, Oxford University Press, Hodder, Pearson's and Scholastic among others.
